The Oscar is offered in two water source types, a plumbed (direct line connect) and a built-in pour over tank model. How the Nuova Simonelli Oscar Works
Compare the different versions:
Pour Over: Currently, we do not offer this model. This Oscar version allows water to be poured directly into its tank, a good option for installation at locations that are either temporary or do not have a water line available for direct plumbing.
Direct Connect: This model allows the users to connect a water line directly to the machine (most likely in a bar, small cafe or heavy home use). There is no need to stop and refill the water tank during a demanding rush of customers.

Heat Exchanger: Some have thought that a powerful espresso machine needs double boilers in order to maintain consistency of steam and coffee temperature under high demands. Like its big brother models, the Oscar uses heat exchanger functionality to ensure that each espresso shot is brewed at a consistent temperature to give you the best tasting shot possible.
Beautiful Interface: The Oscar sports and well-designed interface with two buttons and a steam knob. With intuitive functionality, you will be pulling great shots practically right out of the box.
Professional Portafilter: This machine uses a high quality and durable 58mm portafilter.
Direct Connect Version (Plumbed): This model will need to be directly plumbed into your water supply; recommended for a small cafe or very active kitchen.
Great Steam Pressure: High pressure steam gives you the option to froth your milk almost any way you like. This steam wand is both capable of good, fine foam as well as very quick temperature increases, blasting milk to latte temperature in seconds.
Cup Warmer: The top of this machine functions perfectly as a cup warmer, with about enough space to hold nine shot glasses cappuccino cups.
